Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, Western Australia Final Flood Warning For The Sandy Desert Issued at 02:10 PM WST on Wednesday 19 February 2025 Flood Warning Number: 6 FLOODING HAS EASED ACROSS THE SANDY DESERT Rainfall and flooding associated with ex-Tropical Cyclone Zelia has now eased over the Sandy Desert. No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days. Sandy Desert: Elevated river levels and areas of flooding have eased, but continue to adversely affect road conditions. Some communities may be isolated across parts of the Sandy Desert catchment. Disruption of transportation networks and road closures are continuing. Flood Safety Advice: DFES advises people and communities to be aware that flooding is possible and be prepared to relocate equipment and livestock. Watch water levels. Travellers need to be aware that road conditions may be adversely affected and travel plans may need to be reconsidered.
