Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, Western Australia Final Flood Warning For The Pilbara Coastal Rivers Issued at 09:26 AM WST on Sunday 16 February 2025 Flood Warning Number: 3 RIVERINE FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED FOR THE PILBARA COASTAL RIVERS CATCHMENT Ex-Tropical Cyclone Zelia is moving to the southeast away from the Pilbara Coast and is no longer expected to cause any direct impacts for the Pilbara Coastal Rivers catchment. Riverine flooding is no longer expected across the Pilbara Coast. The chance of showers and storms remains over the Pilbara district during the next few days. However, forecast rainfall totals are not expected to cause significant riverine flooding. Pilbara Coastal Rivers: Riverine flooding is no longer expected for the eastern parts of the Pilbara Coastal Rivers catchment, however, disruption to road networks is still possible particularly in areas where the heaviest rainfall was recorded. Flood Safety Advice: DFES advises people and communities to be aware that flooding is possible and be prepared to relocate equipment and livestock. Watch water levels. Travellers need to be aware that road conditions may be adversely affected and travel plans may need to be reconsidered.
