Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, Victoria Final Flood Warning For The Yarra River Issued at 11:09 AM EST on Friday 26 July 2024 by the Bureau of Meteorology, Victoria Regional Office on behalf of Melbourne Water Flood Warning Number: 18 Yarra River: FLOODING HAS EASED ON YARRA RIVER AT YARRA GLEN The Yarra River catchment has recorded rainfall averaging about 12 mm in the upper part of the catchment and about 4 mm in the lower part of the catchment since 09:00 AM Thursday 25 July 2024. No rainfall is forecast for the catchment for Friday 26 July 2024. Further showers are forecast during Saturday 27 July 2024. Water levels of the Yarra River are now falling after earlier rises from rainfall recorded on Saturday 20 July 2024. The situation will be closely monitored and flood warnings will be issued if required. Yarra River from Coldstream to Warrandyte: The level of the Yarra River at Yarra Glen is currently at 3.56 metres, below the Minor Flood Level, and falling. It peaked at 4.36m, above the Minor Flood Level (4.10 metres), on the evening of Tuesday 23 July 2024. The river heights at 10:41 AM Friday 26 July 2024 were: Upper Yarra River Reservoir: 48.63 metres, steady Yarra River at Warburton: 0.76 metres, falling Yarra River at Millgrove: 1.12 metres, steady Yarra River at Coldstream: 3.04 metres, steady Yarra River at Yarra Glen: 3.56 metres, falling Yarra River Christmas Hills (d/s Yering Pumping Station): 1.35 metres, steady Yarra River at Warrandyte: 1.63 metres, falling Yarra River at Templestowe: 1.83 metres, steady Yarra River at Heidelberg: 4.08 metres, falling Yarra River at Alphington: 1.71 metres, falling Yarra River at Abbotsford: 1.44 metres, falling Yarra River at Hawthorn: 0.47 metres, falling Yarra River at Burnley: 0.26 metres, falling Yarra River at Southbank: 0.12 metres, falling Watts River at Maroondah Reservoir: 10.99 metres, steady Watts River at Healesville: 1.46 metres, steady Little Yarra River at Yarra Junction: 1.01 metres, rising This is the final flood warning that will be issued for this event.
