Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Victoria TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST Cancellation Of Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Central, Northern Country, North Central and North East Forecast Districts. Issued at 9:53 pm Sunday, 8 February 2026. Thunderstorms have weakened in the Central Ranges cancellation of severe thunderstorm warning for the following areas: Central, Northern Country, North Central and North East This warning is now cancelled. 26.4mm have been recorded at Western Plains Emu Creek in the 60min to 5:00pm. The State Emergency Service advises that people should: * Stay away from fallen powerlines - always assume they are live. * Stay safe by avoiding dangerous hazards, such as floodwater, mud, debris, damaged roads and fallen trees. * Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
