Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Victoria TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST Cancellation Of Severe Thunderstorm Warning for East Gippsland Forecast District. Issued at 2:36 pm Wednesday, 13 November 2024. Thunderstorms with heavy falls have now eased in the east of the state. Weather Situation Slow moving isolated thunderstorms continue over eastern parts of the state during the afternoon, but the risk of heavy falls has eased. cancellation of severe thunderstorm warning for the following areas: East Gippsland The immediate threat of severe thunderstorms has passed, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary. 43.0 mm was recorded at Mt Elizabeth in the 60 minutes to 12:59 pm The State Emergency Service advises that people should: * Stay away from fallen powerlines - always assume they are live. * Stay safe by avoiding dangerous hazards, such as floodwater, mud, debris, damaged roads and fallen trees. * Don't walk, ride your bike or drive through flood water.
