Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, Tasmania Final Flood Warning For The South Esk River Issued at 10:59 AM EDT on Thursday 16 January 2025 by Bureau of Meteorology, Hobart. Flood Warning Number: 8 NO FURTHER FLOODING EXPECTED ALONG THE SOUTH ESK RIVER Flooding has eased at all locations along the South Esk River catchment. No significant rainfall has been observed in the past 24 hours to 9:00 am Thursday across the South Esk River catchment, except for some isolated lighter showers in a few locations. Light showers are forecast in the next few days. South Esk River - Llewellyn to Perth: Flooding is no longer expected in the South Esk River - Llewellyn to Perth. The South Esk River at Perth peaked at 3.70 metres (minor flood level 4.30 m) around 01:00 am Thursday 16 January and is currently at 3.60 metres and falling. The South Esk River at Perth is expected to remain below the minor flood level (4.30 m).
