Issued at 7:48 pm Wednesday, 18 December 2024. cancellation of severe thunderstorm warning - southeast queensland for the following areas: Gympie and South Burnett Severe thunderstorms are no longer affecting the Southeast Queensland area (east of Dalby from Rainbow Beach to Stanthorpe). The immediate threat of severe thunderstorms has passed, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary. 88 MM OF RAINFALL RECORDED AT KOBBLE CREEK IN THE 1 HOUR TO 4:10 PM. 86 MM OF RAINFALL RECORDED AT MOUNT SAMSON ROAD IN THE 30 MINUTES TO 3:53 pm. 64 MM OF RAINFALL RECORDED AT HIGHVALE IN THE 30 MINUTES TO 3:36 PM. 56 MM OF RAINFALL RECORDED AT TOOWOOMBA IN THE 1 HOUR TO 2:01 PM. 66 mm of rainfall recorded at Jinghi Jinghi in the 1 hour to 5:11 pm. 51 mm of rainfall recorded at Dayboro in the 30 minutes to 4:16 pm. 67 mm of rainfall recorded at Moodlu in the 1 hour to 1:06 pm. 53 mm of rainfall recorded at Samford Valley in the 30 minutes to 3:22 pm. 54 mm of rainfall recorded at Innisplain in the 1 hour to 2:04 pm. Cancellation for the following areas: Queensland Anonymous Locale 1 Emergency services advise people to: * Never drive, walk, play or ride through floodwater. It is dangerous. * Stay away from storm water drains. * Stay away from fallen powerlines. * Drive slowly and never drive through floodwaters. If the road is flooded or damaged, go another way. * For storm help, call the SES on 132 500 or download the free SES Assistance QLD app. A more general severe thunderstorm warning remains current for parts of the North Tropical Coast and Tablelands and Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders districts.
