Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, Queensland Minor Flood Warning For The Warrego River (Qld) Issued at 11:48 AM EST on Wednesday 18 December 2024 Flood Warning Number: 29 MINOR FLOODING ESTIMATED TO BE OCCURRING AT CUNNAMULLA BRIDGE RENEWED MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT ROCKY FROM FRIDAY Moderate to heavy rainfall recorded across the Warrego River catchment during the past week has caused renewed river level rises along the Warrego River. The main flood peak passed Rocky and is moving downstream into NSW. A smaller second peak is now near Wallen, with minor flooding is estimating to be occurring at Cunnamulla Bridge. No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days. Warrego River downstream of Charleville: Minor flooding is estimated to be occurring at Cunnamulla Bridge and easing at Rocky. No manual observations are available for Cunnamulla Bridge, however based on the nearby automatic gauge, the river level at Cunnamulla Bridge is estimated to be around the minor flood level (6.00 m) and rising slowly. The Warrego River at Cunnamulla Bridge may peak near 6.10 metres with minor flooding during Thursday. The Warrego River at Rocky was at 2.30 metres at 12:30 pm Tuesday and falling, below the minor flooding (2.50 m). The Warrego River at Rocky may reach the minor flood level (2.50 m) during Friday as floodwaters arrive from upstream. Flood Safety Advice: Remember: If it's flooded, forget it.
