Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, Queensland Final Flood Warning For The Moonie River Issued at 12:11 PM EST on Sunday 08 December 2024 Flood Warning Number: 2 MINOR FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED AT NINDIGULLY No significant rainfall has been recorded across the Moonie River catchment for the last few days, with river and stream levels continuing to slowly ease during Sunday. Showers and the chance of thunderstorms are forecast over the next few days, which may cause renewed river level rises. Moonie River downstream of Flinton: River levels continue to slowly ease along the Moonie River downstream of Flinton. The Moonie River at Nindigully is currently at 2.10 metres and steady, near the minor flood level (2.20 m). The Moonie River at Nindigully is likely to remain below the minor flood level (2.20 m) during the next few days. The Moonie River at Thallon Bridge is expected to remain below the minor flood level (4.00 m) during the next few days. Flood Safety Advice: Remember: If it's flooded, forget it.
