Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, Queensland Final Flood Warning For The Logan River Issued at 08:04 AM EST on Friday 20 December 2024 Flood Warning Number: 5 NO FURTHER FLOODING EXPECTED ALONG THE LOGAN RIVER Moderate to heavy rainfall during Tuesday and Wednesday caused minor to major flooding in upper parts of the Logan River catchment. A flood peak just below the major flood level was observed early Thursday morning along the Logan River at Beaudesert. River levels peaked just below the minor flood level at Maclean Bridge early Thursday evening. The flood peak is expected to remain below minor flood levels as it continues to travel downstream into Saturday. No significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days. Logan River to Yarrahappini: No further flooding is expected in the Logan River to Yarrahappini. The Logan River at Beaudesert is currently at 1.57 metres and falling, well below the minor flood level. The Logan River at Beaudesert will remain below the minor flood level (5.50 m). Logan River downstream of Yarrahappini: No further flooding is expected in the Logan River downstream of Yarrahappini. The Logan River at Maclean Bridge peaked at 9.79 metres around 6:00 pm Thursday 19 December, just below the minor flood level (10.00 metres). The river level is currently at 7.24 metres and falling. The Logan River at Maclean Bridge will remain below the minor flood level (10.00 m). Flood Safety Advice: Remember: If it's flooded, forget it.
