Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, Queensland Minor Flood Warning For The Upper Brisbane River Issued at 11:52 AM EST on Friday 25 April 2025 Flood Warning Number: 2 MINOR FLOODING LIKELY ALONG STANLEY RIVER AT WOODFORD FRIDAY AFTERNOON MINOR FLOODING EASED ALONG UPPER BRISBANE RIVER AT GREGOR CREEK Moderate to locally heavy rainfall has been observed within the Stanley and Upper Brisbane River catchments overnight Thursday into Friday. This has caused creek and river level rises throughout the catchments, and minor flooding is likely at Woodford during Friday. The minor flooding has eased at Gregor Creek Friday morning. Further rainfall is forecast for the remainder of Friday morning, which may cause further river and creek level rises. The situation is being monitored and this warning will be updated as required. Stanley River to Somerset Dam: Minor flooding is likely along the Stanley River to Somerset Dam. The Stanley River at Woodford is currently at 4.44 metres and rising, below the minor flood level. The Stanley River at Woodford is likely to peak near the minor flood level (5.00 m) Friday afternoon. Brisbane River to Wivenhoe Dam: Minor flooding has eased along the Upper Brisbane River at Gregor Creek. Minor flooding is occurring at Devon Hills. The Brisbane River at Gregor Creek peaked at 3.90 metres around 07:00 am Friday 25 April and is currently at 2.84 metres and falling, below the minor flood level. The Brisbane River at Gregor Creek is likely to remain below the minor flood level (3.50 m). Flood Safety Advice: Remember: If it's flooded, forget it.
