Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, Queensland Final Flood Warning For The Burrum And Cherwell Rivers Issued at 10:11 AM EST on Wednesday 01 January 2025 Flood Warning Number: 3 NO FURTHER FLOODING EXPECTED ALONG THE BURRUM AND CHERWELL RIVERS River levels have peaked and are now below the minor flood level along the Burrum River at Howard and the Cherwell River at Pacific Haven. No significant rainfall was recorded in the 24 hours to 9:00 am Wednesday. Further showers are possible over the next few days, however river levels are expected to remain below minor flood levels. Burrum and Cherwell Rivers: No further flooding is expected in the Burrum and Cherwell Rivers. The Burrum River at Howard is currently at 5.51 metres and steady, below the minor flood level (6.00 m). The Burrum River at Howard is expected to remain below the minor flood level. The Cherwell River at Pacific Haven is currently at 1.79 metres and rising with the tide, below the minor flood level (2.50 m). The Cherwell River at Pacific Haven is expected to remain below the minor flood level. Flood Safety Advice: Remember: If it's flooded, forget it.
