Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, Queensland Minor Flood Warning For The Don River And Flood Warning For The Proserpine River Issued at 12:09 PM EST on Wednesday 05 February 2025 Flood Warning Number: 8 MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT BOWEN PUMP STATION Moderate to heavy rainfall totals have been observed across the Don and Proserpine River catchments since last week. Minor flooding is occurring along the Don River at Bowen Pump Station. Rainfall and thunderstorms forecast over the next few days may cause rapid river and creek level rises across the Don and Proserpine River catchments. The situation is being closely monitored and warnings will be updated as required. Don River: Minor flooding is occurring along the Don River. No observations are available for the Don River at Bowen Pump Station, however the river level is expected to be currently around the minor flood level (2.50 m). The Don River at Bowen Pump Station may remain around the minor flood level (2.50 m) overnight Wednesday and into Thursday. Further rises are possible with forecast rainfall. Proserpine River: River levels are elevated along the Proserpine River, with further rises possible with forecast rainfall. Flood Safety Advice: Remember: If it's flooded, forget it.
