Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, Queensland Final Flood Warning For The Haughton River Issued at 12:33 PM EST on Sunday 30 March 2025 Flood Warning Number: 13 NO FURTHER FLOODING EXPECT AT GIRU Moderate to heavy rainfall during the week led to river and creek level rises across the Haughton River catchment. Minor flooding has eased along the Haughton River at Giru. Showers and thunderstorms are forecast to continue for the next few days over the catchment, which may keep river and creek levels elevated along the Haughton River and its tributaries. Haughton River: No further flooding is expected in the Haughton River. The Haughton River at Giru is currently at 1.13 metres and steady, below the minor flood level (1.80 m).
