Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, Queensland Final Flood Warning For The Herbert River Issued at 11:11 AM EST on Monday 07 April 2025 Flood Warning Number: 9 NO FURTHER FLOODING EXPECTED ALONG THE HERBERT RIVER In the 24 hours to 9 am Monday, no significant rainfall was recorded across the Herbert River catchment. Along the Herbert River at Gleneagle, minor flooding is estimated to be easing with river levels now below the minor flood level. Downstream at Abergowrie Bridge no further flooding is expected and river levels are now below the minor flood level. No significant rainfall is forecast over the next few days. Herbert River to Nash's Crossing: No further flooding is expected in the Herbert River to Nash's Crossing. There are no current river level observations available for the manual gauge at Gleneagle, however, based on the nearby automatic gauge, the river level is estimated to be below the minor flood level and falling. The Herbert River at Gleneagle is expected to continue easing and remain below the minor flood level (4.50 m). Herbert River downstream of Nash's Crossing: No further flooding is expected in the Herbert River downstream of Nash's Crossing. The Herbert River at Abergowrie Bridge is currently at 4.35 metres and falling, below the minor flood level. The Herbert River at Abergowrie Bridge is expected to remain below the minor flood level (6.00 m). Flood Safety Advice: Remember: If it's flooded, forget it.
