Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, Queensland Final Flood Warning For The Johnstone River Catchment Issued at 01:25 PM EST on Monday 03 February 2025 Flood Warning Number: 7 NO FURTHER FLOODING EXPECTED AT MOURILYAN MILL River levels are easing across the Johnstone River Catchment on Monday and renewed minor flooding is no longer expected at Mourilyan Mill. Further showers and rain areas are forecast for the next few days, however river levels are expected to continue to slowly ease across the Johnstone River catchment for the next few days. South Johnstone: No further flooding is expected in the South Johnstone River. No river level observations are available for Mourilyan Mill, however, the river level is expected to be below the minor flood level (8.00 m). The South Johnstone River at Mourilyan Mill is expected to remain below the minor flood level (8.00 m). Flood Safety Advice: Remember: If it's flooded, forget it. For life threatening emergencies, call Triple Zero (000) immediately.} Current emergency information is available at www.qld.gov.au/alerts Flooding in North Queensland catchments during December 2023 damaged high priority river gauges that support the Bureau of Meteorology to provide high accuracy flood forecasts.
