Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, National Water Operations Final Flood Warning For The Cooks River Issued at 11:34 AM AEST on Thursday 11 September 2025 Flood Warning Number: 2 FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED AT TEMPE BRIDGE Moderate rainfall was observed in the Cooks River catchment since Wednesday morning, causing river level rises along the Cooks River. Tempe Bridge is now around a flood peak below the minor flood level. No further significant rainfall is forecast for the next few days. Cooks River: Flooding is no longer expected along the Cooks River at Tempe Bridge. The Cooks River at Tempe Bridge is currently at 1.08 m AHD and around a peak with the high tide, below the minor flood level. The Cooks River at Tempe Bridge is expected to remain below the minor flood level (1.30 m AHD). Flood Safety Advice: Don't drive, walk, swim or play in floodwater because it is dangerous. Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads. Check the ABC and local media for updates.
