Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, New South Wales Final Flood Warning For The Camden Haven River Issued at 01:45 PM EDT on Saturday 18 January 2025 Flood Warning Number: 2 NO FURTHER FLOODING EXPECTED AT LAURIETON Minor flooding has occurred along the Camden Haven River at Laurieton on the high tides around mid day Saturday. The river level is currently falling with the tides. Showers and storms remain possible in the catchment for Saturday and into Sunday, which may cause renewed river level rises. The situation is being closely monitored and warnings will be issued as required. A Flood Watch is current for parts of the Northern Rivers, Mid North Coast, Hunter and Central Coast. Camden Haven River: No further flooding is expected in the Camden Haven River, however, river levels may remain elevated along the Camden Haven River during Saturday and into Sunday. The Camden Haven River at Laurieton is currently at 1.07 metres and falling with the tides, below the minor flood level (1.10 m). The Camden Haven River at Laurieton is expected to remain below the minor flood level (1.10 m). Flood Safety Advice: In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500. * Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place. * Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood. * Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains. * Never drive, ride or walk through flood water.
