Flood Warning for the Paterson/Williams Rivers

Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, New South Wales Final Flood Warning For The Williams River Issued at 09:16 AM EDT on Sunday 30 March 2025 Flood Warning Number: 2 MINOR FLOODING NO LONGER OCCURRING AT DUNGOG AND MILL DAM FALLS River levels along the Williams River at Dungog and Mill Dam Falls fell below the respective minor flood levels overnight Saturday into Sunday. Flooding is no longer expected along the Williams River. Further rain is forecast across the Williams River catchment from the middle of the week, which may cause renewed river level rises and flooding. The situation is being closely monitored and flood warnings will be issued as required. Williams River: Minor flooding is no long occurring along the Williams River. The Williams River at Dungog peaked near 5.70 metres around 07:45 pm Saturday with minor flooding and is currently at 2.77 metres and falling, below the minor flood level (4.90 m). The Williams River at Dungog is expected to remain below the minor flood level. The Williams River at Mill Dam Falls peaked at 6.10 metres around 03:00 am Sunday with minor flooding and is currently at 5.76 metres and falling, below the minor flood level (6.10 m). The Williams River at Mill Dam Falls is expected to remain below the minor flood level. Flood Safety Advice: In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500. * Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place. * Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood. * Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains. * Never drive, ride or walk through flood water.
