Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, New South Wales Minor To Moderate Flood Warning For The Orara River Issued at 02:19 PM EDT on Tuesday 11 March 2025 Flood Warning Number: 15 MODERATE FLOODING CONTINUING AT COUTTS CROSSING River levels along the Orara River remain elevated from rainfall last week. Moderate flooding is continuing at Coutts Crossing, with river levels slowly falling. At Glenreagh, river levels remain elevated near the minor flood level as a result of small rises upstream, however no further significant rises are expected. Orara River: Moderate flooding is occurring along the Orara River at Coutts Crossing. Minor flooding is occurring at Glenreagh. The Orara River at Glenreagh Automatic Gauge is currently at 5.12 metres and steady, with minor flooding. The river level may remain around the minor flood level (5.00 m) until late Tuesday. No recent river level observations are available for the Glenreagh Bridge (manual flood gauge). Based on the nearby automatic gauge, the river levels are estimated to be around the minor flood level (4.00 m), and steady. The river level may remain around the minor flood level (4.00 m) until late Tuesday. The Orara River at Coutts Crossing was at 10.48 m and falling slowly around 12:00 pm Tuesday, with moderate flooding. The river level may remain above the moderate flood level (9.00 m) for the remainder of Tuesday and Wednesday.
