Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, New South Wales Minor Flood Warning For The Tuggerah Lake Issued at 09:32 AM EST on Tuesday 29 April 2025 Flood Warning Number: 2 MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT LONG JETTY, LIKELY TO PERSIST UNTIL AT LEAST WEDNESDAY Moderate to heavy rainfall was observed in the Tuggerah Lake catchment during Sunday, causing river and creek level rises across the catchment. Levels in Tuggerah Lake at Long Jetty are around the minor flood level during Tuesday morning and are likely to remain around that level until at least Wednesday, and possibly longer. Showers and the chance of a thunderstorm are forecast over the next few days which may cause small additional rises as well as slowing the recession of levels in Tuggerah Lake into the weekend. Tuggerah Lake: Minor flooding is occurring at Tuggerah Lake. The Tuggerah Lake at Long Jetty is currently at the minor flood level (0.90 m) and steady. The Tuggerah Lake at Long Jetty is likely to remain around the minor flood level (0.90 m) during the remainder of Tuesday and Wednesday. Flood Safety Advice: In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500. * Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place. * Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood. * Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains. * Never drive, ride or walk through flood water.
