Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, New South Wales Final Flood Warning For The Hastings River Issued at 01:21 PM EDT on Sunday 30 March 2025 Flood Warning Number: 4 MINOR FLOODING NO LONGER EXPECTED AT KINDEE BRIDGE AND SETTLEMENT POINT The river level along the Hastings River at Kindee Bridge peaked below the minor flood level (4.70 m) around midnight Saturday. The Hastings River at Wauchope is expected to remain below the minor flood level (2.5 m). Minor flooding is no longer expected at Settlement Point with high tides. Further rain is forecast across the Hastings River catchment from the middle of the week, which may cause renewed river level rises and flooding. The situation is being closely monitored and flood warnings will be issued as required. Hastings River: Minor flooding is no longer expected along the Hastings River. The Hastings River at Kindee Bridge peaked near 4.00 metres around 11:30 pm Saturday, and is currently at 2.66 metres and falling, below the minor flood level (4.70 m). The Hastings River at Kindee Bridge is expected to remain below the minor flood level. The Hastings River at Settlement Point is currently at 0.49 metres and falling, below the minor flood level (1.20 m). The Hastings River at Settlement Point is expected to remain below the minor flood level. Flood Safety Advice: In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place. *Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood. *Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains. *Never drive, ride or walk through flood water.
