Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, New South Wales Final Flood Warning For The Hastings River Issued at 04:28 PM EDT on Sunday 09 March 2025 Flood Warning Number: 9 FLOODING NO LONGER OCCURRING AT WAUCHOPE Moderate to heavy rainfall associated with Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred has been recorded across the Hastings River catchment since Wednesday morning. All forecast locations along the Hastings River have now fallen below the minor flood level. Hastings River: No further flooding is expected in the Hastings River. The Hastings River at Wauchope peaked at 5.56 metres around midday Sunday, with minor flooding, and is currently at 2.49 metres and falling below the minor flood level. The Hastings River at Wauchope is expected to remain below the minor flood level (2.50 m). Hastings River at Kindee Bridge: Cancellation Flood Safety Advice: In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500. *Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place. *Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood. *Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains. *Never drive, ride or walk through flood water.
