Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, New South Wales Final Flood Warning For The Macleay River Issued at 04:24 PM EDT on Tuesday 11 March 2025 Flood Warning Number: 15 MINOR FLOODING NO LONGER OCCURRING AT KEMPSEY The Macleay River at Kempsey fell below the minor flood level Tuesday afternoon. River levels at Kempsey, Georges Creek, Bellbrook and Smithtown are expected to remain below minor flood levels. Macleay River: No further flooding is expected in the Macleay River. The Macleay River at Kempsey fell below the minor flood level (4.50 metres) around 02:00 pm Tuesday. The river level is currently at 4.39 metres and falling, below the minor flood level. Macleay River at Georges Creek: Cancellation Flood Safety Advice: In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500. * Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place. * Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood. * Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains. * Never drive, ride or walk through flood water.
