Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, New South Wales Final Flood Warning For The Bellinger And Kalang Rivers Issued at 12:29 PM EDT on Sunday 30 March 2025 Flood Warning Number: 6 NO FURTHER FLOODING EXPECTED AT THORA Moderate rainfall recorded across the Bellinger catchment over the past few days caused river level rises along the Bellinger River. The Bellinger river at Thora peaked below the minor flood level overnight Saturday into Sunday, river levels are now easing and no further flooding is expected. Further rainfall is forecast in the Bellinger and Kalang River catchments from the middle of the week which may cause renewed river rises and flooding. The situation will be monitored, and flood watches and flood warnings will be issued as required. Bellinger River: No further flooding is expected in the Bellinger River. The Bellinger River at Thora peaked at 2.82 metres around 01:15 am Sunday and is currently at 2.71 metres and falling, below the minor flood level (3.00 m). No further flooding is expected at Thora. Flood Safety Advice: In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500. Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place. Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood. Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains. Never drive, ride or walk through flood water.
