Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, New South Wales Final Flood Warning For The Wilsons River Issued at 09:44 AM EST on Monday 30 September 2024 Flood Warning Number: 9 MINOR FLOODING IS NOW EASING AT LISMORE Minor flooding will ease along the Wilsons River at Lismore in the next few hours. Showers are forecast for the next few days, but significant totals are not expected. A Flood Warning is current for the Richmond River. Wilsons River: No further flooding is expected in the Wilsons River. The Wilsons River at Lismore (AHD) is currently at 4.21 metres and falling, with minor flooding. The Wilsons River at Lismore (AHD) is expected to fall below the minor flood level (4.20 m) in the next few hours. Flood Safety Advice: In life threatening emergencies, call 000 (triple zero) immediately. If you require rescue, assistance to evacuate or other emergency help, ring NSW SES on 132 500. * Avoid drowning. Stay out of rising water, seek refuge in the highest available place. * Prevent damage to your vehicle. Move it under cover, away from areas likely to flood. * Avoid being swept away. Stay out of fast-flowing creeks and storm drains. * Never drive, ride or walk through flood water.
