Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology Northern Territory TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST Heatwave Warning Issued at 02:53 PM CST on Saturday 25 October 2025 Valid for Saturday 25 October 2025 to Tuesday 28 October 2025 Warning for the following areas: Daly, Arnhem and Gregory Safety Advice: Severe heatwaves can be dangerous for many people, especially older people, babies, children, pregnant and breastfeeding women, people with medical conditions and people who are unwell. Seek a place to keep cool, such as your home, a library, community centre or shopping centre. Close your windows and draw blinds, curtains or awnings early in the day to keep the heat out of your home. If available, use fans or air-conditioners to keep cool. Maximum temperatures in the high thirties to the low forties with overnight minimum temperatures in the low to high twenties. Severe heatwave conditions are building over northern and western parts of the NT, and are expected to persist over the weekend before contracting to northern districts next week as a milder southerly change extending northwards over the region. Locations likely to be impacted include Berry Springs, Bulman, Gunlom, Nauiyu and Timber Creek. The next heatwave warning will be issued by 3:00pm CST on Sunday 26 October 2025
