Australian Government Bureau of Meteorology, Northern Territory Final Flood Warning For The Victoria River Issued at 08:21 AM CST on Monday 25 March 2024 Flood Warning Number: 5 FLOODING EASED AT KALKARINDJI Since 9:00 am Sunday, rainfall totals of 10-30 mm have been recorded across the Victoria River catchment. Showers and thunderstorms are possible over the next few days. Flooding has eased along the Upper Victoria River at Kalkarindji. Upper Victoria River: No further flooding is expected in the Upper Victoria River. The Victoria River at Kalkarindji is currently at 7.37 metres and falling, below the minor flood level (9.00 m). The Victoria River at Kalkarindji is likely to remain below the minor flood level (9.00 m). Flood Safety Advice: The Northern Territory Emergency Service advises that people should: Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways. Prepare for flooding and move away while safe to do so. Don't drive into floodwaters.} For emergency help in floods, storms and cyclones call 132 500.
