Thunderstorms due to unstable conditions
Aline Ribeiro
This Sunday starts warm over New South Wales with a trough drawing heat to the state. As this system moves, the chance of showers and thunderstorms increase in the southeast.
Severe thunderstorms, with damaging winds, may affect the west, south and eastern areas of New South Wales (including Canberra and Sydney) mainly in the afternoon.
A gusty wind change is pushing over the southeast of Australia as this trough, with a front to the south, advances. Tomorrow, cooler temperatures are expected to affect parts of the state as a result of this brisk wind change.
