11/12/2008: Hobart can expect a possible shower or two on Christmas Day according to weatherzone.com.au with a likely maximum temperature of 19 degrees.

"The forecast will be updated daily on weatherzone.com.au but at this stage Christmas Day looks mostly cloudy in Hobart with one or two showers possible and a likely temperature range of 11 to 19 degrees, two below average for December. However the lead up to Christmas looks a little warmer with temperatures close to average until about the 23rd," weatherzone.com.au meteorologist Thomas Saunders said.

"Christmas Day should be similar to last year when the high reached 20," said Saunders.

Hobart's hottest Christmas Day on record was in 1945 when the city reached 35 degrees. The coldest was 13 degrees in 1984.
