Another hot day to come in Perth
The trough that has given rise to the recent bout of hot weather will continue to direct a very hot airmass across the region today.
On Friday night, the mercury was sitting at an uncomfortable 31.6 degrees at 10pm, and only briefly dropped to 23.7 degrees at 2:38am early this morning.
A combination of increased cloud cover, a seabreeze and the trough moving inland will bring more meaningful relief to the city this afternoon compared to recent days, but it will feel a bit more humid.

Don't be surprised to see some lightning activity later this afternoon or overnight tonight, although little in the way of rain is expected from any thunderstorm that develops.
Sunday will be noticeably cooler, as a maritime airmass envelops the region and winds turn southwesterly wind regime around a building high pressure ridge.
More hot weather is on the way next week though, with daytime temperatures looking to gradually increase day-by-day until early the following week.
